New from ‘Twilight Trains’ is a HORNBY Limited edition, 1 of only 25 commissioned, LNER A4 ‘POCHARD’, edition numbers 15-25

This is the china-made, Loco-drive, Dcc Ready, A4 locomotive.

This presentation marks a new step in producing the latest code 3 model for the avid LNER collector.

As Hornby have yet to produce a single chimney A4 loco in Garter Blue, circa 1939, we decided to explore the possibility ourselves. Finished as LNER number 4499 running in Garter blue and named ‘POCHARD’ using etched brass nameplates .The loco comes with a signed, numbered Certificate of Authenticity as proof of alteration, detailed inner sleeve, and instructions. This is a limited edition run of 25. Only 15 of these loco’s are released in the Loco-drive format, the first ten are Tender drive versions.

This is an exceptionally well presented piece of artwork, combined with the super detail of the china made loco drive Hornby A4 (R2339); it makes this loco highly collectable.

This bodyshell is unique as far as all the components (including single chimney) are all new Hornby components, and a single chimney A4 in LNER garter blue (China loco drive) has yet to be produced. Combine this with an exceptional piece of artwork from Peasholm models, and the very high standards of our presentations, it makes this loco highly collectable.

The donor engine is the 2008 edition of ‘MALLARD’ 4468 (R2339) plus Hornby single chimney.
