New from ‘Twilight Trains’ is a HORNBY Limited edition, 1 of only 25 commissioned, LNER A4 ‘POCHARD’

This is the china-made, Tender-drive, Dcc Ready, A4 locomotive.

 

This loco has been renamed & numbered by leading Super Detailing specialists 'PEASHOLM MODELS'. Finished as LNER number 4499 running in Garter blue and named ‘POCHARD’ using etched brass nameplates .The loco comes with a signed, numbered Certificate of Authenticity as proof of alteration, detailed inner sleeve, and instructions. This was a limited edition run of 25. Only 20 of these loco’s are released as a single purchase, the first five are included in boxed sets.

This is an exceptional piece of artwork from our Peasholm models stable, combined with the super detail of the china made tender drive Hornby A4 (R2154); it makes this loco highly collectable.

The donor engine is the 2002 edition of ‘KESTREL’ 4485 (R2154) plus Non-Corridor Tender.

ADDITIONAL NOTE

 

We are currently reengineering the Hornby R2339 “Mallard” locomotive into a single chimney loco. The new loco (prototype TT4500) has been manufactured with a Hornby single chimney, by DAB plastics. We have chosen LNER 4499 “Pochard” as this project still has 15 editions to be issued. This will finally complete the TT4499 limited edition presentation. The new Loco-drive  will have the code TT4499a
