TT 4499a
In summer 2006, Twilight Trains produced a limited edition run of 25 locomotives in the guise of LNER 4499 POCHARD - (TT4499 C/TD) The project was suspended due to the availability of the donor engine , namely the HornbvR2154 Kestrel. We even purchased all the remaining body-shells from East Kent Models and started using theR2059 Mallard chassis. Despite this vain attempt to keep the project running, we had no choice but to close the project early with only 9 actually produced. In 2007 we sourced one more donor locomotive in order to bring our total up to 10, After consulting our customers and collectors, and giving them the option of either 1. Returning the loco for a full refund, yes you still can 2. replacing the certificate to a ‘limited edition of 10’ 3. Exchanging the loco for the new C/LD 2008 presentation (This means your certificate number will be increased 10) 4. Special Reservation for the new 2008 presentation. The project has now been restarted, and the remaining 15 locomotives (C/LD) will be issued numerically from 11 to 25 subject to a previous C/TD issues. We will auction any remaining locomotives on ebay to the general public. Please do not bid on these locomotives if you have an existing Tender Drive presentation, as 2 of the 4 options above are still available.
With the last presentations of this edition of locomotive being issued throughout 2009 in the form of our Boxed Sets, an additional 10 locomotives have been ordered in the form of TT4499b - Sir Murrough Wilson - running in LNER Wartime black livery, (circa 1942), And TT4499c - Sir Murrough Wilson - running in Brunswick Green (circa 1959). These locomotives have been renamed and renumbered by ‘Code3 locos’ |
