The TT 4499 ‘Pochard’ project is a Limited Edition presentation of 25 locomotives.

As the project developed, it came to light that a shortage of donor locomotives, and even replacement bodyshells, deemed this project to be unexpectedly suspended. Every detail was considered in the vain attempt to complete this project, but to no avail. We notified all the owners of this limited edition presentation that the project will be suspended until further notice.

Exploratory methods of producing a locomotive in the new China-made, loco-drive guise has resulted in 3 prototype bodyshells produced as LNER 4500 Garganey, and if enough bodyshells can be secured ( 16 more to complete this project) we will continue the TT4499 project in this format.

As the prototype was displayed to a few collectors, mainly to gather some feedback, reservations were being placed, and questions asked if we would consider releasing a boxed set of 3 different locos in LNER garter blue, or the same loco in 3 different liveries.

To satisfy these avid collectors, to whom we owe our wholehearted thanks to, we have split the limited edition of 25 into 3 groups.

Certificate numbers 21 - 25, are included in TT 4499 e, which are reserved for a forthcoming project
