This Boxed set contains 3 Hornby A4 locomotives, (china-made loco drive), depicting LNER locomotive number 4901 from 1938 to her change to BR 60005 in 1958.

3 liveries are displayed by these high detail models, the first being the famous LNER Garter blue, worn by a sister engine when the world steam record was broken. The second example shows the 1942 livery of wartime black, with the absence of the side valances. Finally the last example shows BR 60005 in her final livery from 1958 until withdrawal.

The loco had 3 name plate changes throughout her life, Capercaillie, Charles H Newton, and Sir Charles Newton.
