As this representation of BR 60005 Sir Charles Newton is designed to represent the loco as she run in 1958, we were posed with a problem in the case of a suitable donor loco and tender.

As Hornby had yet to release an A4 in BR Green (Kylchap Chimney) with a streamlined (Non-corridor) tender, we had to use a bodyshell from the R2535, Woodcock, and the tender from R2494, Guillemot. Again, the renaming process was contracted to Peasholm Models as was the task of changing the tender crest to the later type. As standard, this loco will be presented with the Limited edition sleeve and certificate of authenticity. As this locomotive is part of a boxed set, it will be acknowledged on the covering certificate, stating the loco was purchased as part of a 3 loco presentation.
